TU3 Engine Tuning

Increase the performance of your TU3 series engine...

The TU3 1360cc engine is placed in a lot of Citroen / Peugeot models! The Peugeot 205 and the Citroen Saxo are the most common ones. The engine is cheap and easy to maintain.

Bore: 75.0mm x Stroke 77.0mm

Sinds the introduction of the engine somewhere in the late 1980's, there have been a lot of different versions. Here is a short list with there valve timings. Because I am currently running on LPG, the best camshaft would be the one from a KDX engine (imho). The exhaust valve opens late and closes a few degrees after TDC. Camshaft is not build for horsepower but for torque. Don't know about the valve overlap when installing a turbo....

With the fifth gear modification on the 2CA63 gearbox, the engine is almost at its optimum torque rpm when cruising 120km/h, which is great for fuel economy.
