SMC 2862W-G EU Internals
There are two versions of this SMC 2826W-G Wireless WLAN USB 2.0 adapters. This is Part. No. 99-012084-376.
It uses a Intersil PRISM chipset.

The copper plate is there to distribute the heat generated by the Intersil chip. On the right you can see the embedded antenna. |

The power amplifier and antenna connector. The antenna connector is a MS-156NB series connector from Hirose. Pretty uncommon! |

The amplifier also generates a lot of heat, so i apllied some thermal grease on the lid. |
